Funktion-One announces their new product, Evolution X. This is the most versatile Funktion One Evolution loudspeaker to date. Evolution X is a significant development with the latest Funktion-One waveguide technology. The loudspeaker is full range and completely horn-loaded. This Evolution provides narrow vertical and wide horizontal dispersion. This is an efficient and high SPL loudspeaker.

The Funktion One Evolution X’s advanced driver technology delivers outstanding clarity, resolution, and detail. Additionally, its 90° horizontal dispersion makes it an excellent choice for live venues, small clubs and theatres. It is capable of high SPL and is a a relatively compact speaker. The loudspeaker can be deployed as a stereo one per side and four-point system. While Evolution X’s horizontal dispersion delivers even coverage across a wide area, its focused 15° vertical dispersion ensures the sound is concentrated on the audience. This minimizes reflections and room excitement. The result is clear and involving sound.
The Evolution X features the same isophase diffraction high frequency waveguide technology as Vero VX. Evolution X is designed for small to medium live events and installations. The optimal audience area for a pair is around 30′ x 30′ (10m by 10m.) Operating across 50Hz-18kHz, it combines with Funktion-One bass loudspeakers. They are a natural match. Evo pairs with both F Series and BR Range bass speakers, depending on the application. Adding bass loudspeakers increases low frequency energy and extends the range of the loudspeaker. The wide bandwidth 8” mid-range extends to 5kHz. In true Funktion-One fashion, this reduces stress on the 1” high frequency driver. 50Hz-280Hz mid bass is readily handled by the 15” driver. Everything was thought of when making the Evolution X. It has been meticulously designed and engineered. The Funktion One Evolution X is your choice for high SPL and high efficiency. Evolution X weighs 104lbs (47kg) and measures 24 inches wide (604mm) 34 inches high (859mm) and 21inches deep (540 mm.) Accessories available include a custom wheel board. The wheel board cradles the loudspeaker’s curved front. Standard colors available are Violet and Black. Lastly, the loudspeaker can also be ordered in a range of custom colors and finishes.
